CRM Specializations

While we have experience in a wide-variety of Nonprofit CRM systems (and are always excited to dig into a new or less-familiar system), these are the Nonprofit Database Systems we know best:

Bloomerang is a tool we deeply love and frequently recommend, especially to small and mid-size nonprofits. They’re continually improving their software and adding new features. It was founded in part by a former executive at Blackbaud who knew a much better tool was possible and then successfully built it.

Bloomerang is a user-friendly tool, with fantastic filtering and reporting, internal email, fantastic customer service and top-notch implementation resources. Bloomerang is

Kindful was once one of our favorite tools, due to its stellar customer service and user-friendly, modern interface. However, since Bloomerang’s purchase of Kindful back in 2020, I now recommend Bloomerang over Kindful as I get the sense that Bloomerang is phasing out support of Kindful and moving customers to Bloomerang CRM.

Kindful can still be a good fit for many organizations without complex needs. We’ve helped many Kindful clients over the years develop work-arounds for their more complex data management needs, identify and setup integrations to make their work easier and organize campaigns.

Neon CRM is a powerful and full-featured system, with a bit of a learning curve in some areas, particularly during form creation. Neon has recently made huge improvements their native email-marketing tool, donation and event forms, and provides a great automated membership renewal / management tool for organizations with membership structures.

One fantastic feature that makes Neon stand apart from other tools is its “workflows” tool which allows for powerful automations that are lacking in many other systems.

DonorPerfect

DonorPerfect is a full-featured CRM system that has been around for longer than most CRM systems. Because it is such a robust tool, many nonprofits find it has a bigger learning curve. Often we find that clients are unaware of all the things DonorPerfect can do.

Recent DonorPerfect projects have included custom trainings for new staff, customizing and configuring a new system for a small private school’s unique needs, assisting with custom integrations for a wordpress-based ticketing site and streamlining / cleaning up coding systems gone awry.

Little Green Light (LGL) is probably the most affordable full-featured CRM that we work with frequently and happily. It is a great starter system for small nonprofits.

Some of our favorite LGL features are its internal email system, its successful Mailchimp integration, an easy reports tool and one of the most flexible form builders on the market.

We’ve worked with several long-term LGL clients on daily database management as well as form-building and configuration for new LGL customers.

We recommend Little Green Light for donor management

Use this link (with code: smartdonormanagement) to try LGL for 30-days and get $100 off when you subscribe!

Other tools we support include:

Salsa CRM + Salsa Engage - We assisted a client in 2021 migrate from elaborate spreadsheet-based donor management + constant contact into Salsa CRM and Salsa engage. We managed the planning and data imports as well as the actual migration and much of the post-migration configuration.

Raiser’s Edge NXT - Recent RENXT projects include,
• post-event data imports from a gala / auction managed in OneCause.
• integration management and data imports from Luminate Online/ Team Raiser
• new staff training and set up in both webview and database view.
